What Washington Eats Wednesdays: Sarah Palin

Have you ever been to Alaska? I have. It's rustic, beautiful, and desolate. It's a different world from the rest of the United States. They have weird animals, like the Musk Ox. They have things called the honey pot (think bathroom, not food). And they have Sarah Palin.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm not a fan of Governor Palin's hair or politics, though I might be a bit right leaning. However, I do admire the fact that she's a meat eater. More women should eat meat. Red meat. It provides iron, which, if you don't get enough, you get cold. So eating red meat in Alaska makes sense. Whatever that meat may be.

The ubiquitous media sound bites of late have been related to Ms. Palin's lack of foreign policy experience, her 17-year-old daughter's pregnancy, and most importantly her ability to field dress a moose. A moose!

So, for this week's What Washington Eats Wednesdays, I bring you: Governor Palin's Moose Pie.

Moose Pie sounds like the name of a good dessert to me, maybe with some icecream on the side!

As a side note, I hear the the new Ray's Restaurant in Arlington will serve moose!
