You know I've always liked Brasserie Beck, Robert Weidemeier's fashionably more democratic answer to Marcel's. Now he's gone and done the small bite pull-up a la Atelier Robouchon or, more familiarly, Mini Bar.
Check what Urban Daddy said:
This summer chef Robert Weland personally presided over his grill in the courtyard, and now that the weather's turned brisk, he's wisely moving indoors. Every night, four lucky diners can eat at the counter overlooking his open kitchen—he'll prep 20 courses of small bites like Slow Cooked Egg With Bacon, Rabbit Tortellini and Butter-Poached Lobster. On second thought, better reserve all four seats for yourself.
411: $75/person, nightly, Poste Moderne Brasserie, 555 8th St NW, reservations at 202-449-7062
